The challenges of the pandemic COVID-19 has allowed us to take a three dimensional look at the way we teach and learn in the new norm.
Health Protocols and Safe Distancing Procedures have lead us to implement three new instructional models to be used for the new school year 2020.
TRADITIONAL – lessons are taught in a classroom setting adhering to social distancing rules
BLENDED – A mixture of Traditional insturction and Virtual instruction. Students must have access to a tablet, Laptop or desktop computer.
VIRTUAL – Completely remote learning. Students must have access to a tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
For traditional and blended instruction, students will need to wear face shields and/or mask along with constantly washing and sanitizing hands and surfaces.
Hillcrest has a computer lab where instruction is given to students in K5 through grade six.
Every class from K5-Grade 6 has an Interactive Projector. The Interactive Projector is a 21st century learning tool that combines the simplicity of a whiteboard with the power of a computer. The Interactive Projector lets the teachers deliver dynamic lessons, write notes in digital ink, and save their work – all with the simple touch of the interactive pen.
