Hillcrest Academy is an affiliate of The Chapel on The Hill, which is a Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) school and church. We are Christian because we believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. We are Missionary because we are committed to reaching people worldwide with the gospel. We are an Alliance of believers working together to help each other and make our world a better place to live.
All classes are biblically integrated and Bible class is a part of each student’s academic program. Weekly Chapels are a special time for the entire school to come together to praise, worship, pray, and study scripture.
The children are given daily instruction according to the Statement of Faith without denominational reference. All students are required to participate in the religious programmes of the school.
Hillcrest’s Mission Community reaches out in the public by having “Ribbon Day”. Our grade six students will make royal blue ribbons which they would sell to parents and students and the money raised will assist in purchasing essential grocery items which will then be donated to an Old Folks Home of their choice.
Our sister school, Troy Christian School, out of Ohio, USA brings their student mission team to interact, serve and experience our Hillcrest community and Bahamian culture every year. Wow! What a blast we all have!
